Just general light fishing really. Mackerel, bream, plaice, that sort of thing. Thought I'd give the spinning rod a rest and buy something just for that job. Saw a good deal on a Penn Battalion and thought why not.

I use a pair on my AFAW GB FS PRO's, loaded with 25lb mono on both.
Good reels, not the lightest but will wind in several tons of weed at Hurst Shingle Bank without breaking a sweat :ROFLMAO:
I wouldn't use them for plaice fishing though ?
I've got 3 brand new Penn Regiment(not Mk2) boat rods in heavy duty cordura tubes that I'm never gonna use, if you're interested. I bought them and then a few days later saw the Penn Battalion boat rods on offer so I bought 3 of those as well.
The Regiment rods are the American spec version...
