I fished my local pier,tonight,all I had was one dogfish,felt good to catch again, after having 3 blank trips in a row.

We dont seem to get many catch reports ,from the :scilly isles,channel islands,orkney ,& the shetland isles

I use a 38g crab lure ,but as soon as I start to reel in it rises up fast,I've tried putting a 28g lead between the swivel and the lure,but it still rise's to quick,Any advice anyone ????,I want to keep the lure nearer the bottom for as long as possible.

I fish in the Ryde area on the Isle of Wight,& my local tackle shop can't get hold of sandeels for love or money ,is any one else having this problem ??
